ExCESS Banquet

The highlight of the year is the annual semi formal banquet which gathers close to two hundred students, staff and professors. This event recognizes students and professors who have made outstanding contributions to our department and provides a truly memorable evening, especially to our graduating students

Open House

A collaborated effort with the Faculty of Engineering, this event is targeted towards students in their senior year of High School. The all day event consists of guided tours, lab demonstrations, and information sessions. It is also an opportunity for ExCESS to reach out and interact with potential students.

ExCESS Foosball Tournament

Newly introduced last year, the bi-annual ExCESS Foosball Tournament, held in the ExCESS lounge, encourages friendly competition and team spirit within students of the department. With great prizes to be won, this event is much anticipated and provides for great excitement among both the players and the audience.

Other Activities

• ExCESS holds beginning of the semester booksales. We facilitate the purchase and sale of course books at very reasonable prices.
• New students are welcomed into the department with food giveaways. This is a great opportunity for the young engineers to familiarize themselves with ExCESS and interact with senior students.
• ExCESS provides partial funding for sport teams such as broomball, dragon boat and soccer.
